Very dangerous, recommend another country. I lived in CR for 5 years and left as I no longer felt safe. Had 6 guys jump me and hit me in the head with a pipe at 4 in the afternoon on a main street. All my friends have experienced home invasions and the Police are getting shot weekly.

If there’s any way to sum up how I feel about this subject it would be APATHY. This coming from a former political junkie who used to eat up the 24/7 news cycle like candy. Maybe it’s just seven years of Bush follies combined with watching a field of candidates banter for the past year and a half. The fact of the matter is that I’m just not feeling the Hope? Even back in 04 when the Democrats were railroading Kerry through the primaries as the nominee, there was a sense of Hope.

Well the rush is over the feasting has subsided and I feel like I'm getting back into the groove again. However, for many people nothing goes back into full gear until after the 1st . This week is kind of the apprehensive energy week. That holding pattern period before all the ambitious resolutions are soon undertaken. As the weekend arrives there is a sort of laid back mood as one coasts into the New Year. There's nothing like being on the peak of a 4 day weekend(for many of you)looking down at the next few days. Ease in, chill out and let it slide. Resolutions hit on Tuesday and that seems like a long way off when you've moved into Leisure time.

I have called Charleston, SC home for 15 years. I grew up in New England and moved here to go to school. There are defiantly worse places to live. Charleston has great dining , beaches , golf and the weather is pretty good (except for July and August-100% humidity and 90+ degrees every day)
