Answers From The Other Side

“Who is Kenneth?” The question posed by Concetta Bertoldi stopped Kim Thormann in her tracks.
“Kenneth was my father,” Thormann answered.

Bertoldi, a medium, one who makes contact with departed souls or spirits, felt his presence and concern during her first session with Thormann.

Thormann, a decorative painter, had met Bertoldi when she was hired to spruce up her home. Or maybe she was sent.

“I was going through a crisis in my life,” Thormann said. “I was in an abusive relationship and was trying to decide how to leave. She (Bertoldi) told me that my father was very upset about this relationship. Concetta said that I was going to leave him and get married again. She told me my father was right there.”

Two years past, one divorce and one new husband for Thormann later, and Bertoldi’s reading was, well, dead on.

Bertoldi, of Boonton Township, is a natural born medium who lives in the now and forever.

Think M. Night Shyamalan’s 1999 thriller “The Sixth Sense.” Does she see dead people? No, she just speaks for them.

She relates some highlights from her career in her new book, “Do Dead People Watch You Shower?” (HarperCollins paperback, $13.95). (For the record, they don’t.)

Thormann’s story appears on page 166: “Do they know we will marry?”

In Q&A style, Bertoldi’s book covers a host of inquiries, from “Have you ever used a Ouija board?” (never associate her with them) to “Is there color on the Other Side?” (yes, there is color and it is brilliant). And the more complex: “Do all places where humans have lived hold vibrations?” and “Do the dead have sex on the Other Side?” Read More
